Sprinkler heads are Immovable Obstructions (Rule 16.1).

In addition, if a sprinkler head within two club-lengths of the putting green of the hole being played intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, relief may be taken without penalty as follows:
If the ball lies on the putting green, it may be lifted and placed at the nearest point which is not nearer the hole and avoids intervention. (F-5)
If the ball lies off the putting green (but not in a hazard) and is within two club-lengths of the sprinkler head, it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point which is not nearer the hole, avoids the intervention and is not on the green or in a hazard. (F-5)
Stone bridges over and wooden sleepers lining the stream are integral objects of the course and not Obstructions.
