Strengthening Nevill Golf Club Sustainability Credentials

Strengthening NGC’s sustainability credentials was a key aim for the new Chairman when first elected in January 2022.  The club vice captain established and chaired a Sustainability Subcommittee in the Autumn of that year. The mission of this subcommitte is to make our golf
operations more sustainable

So how will Nevill GC become more sustainable? We have decided to mirror much of the vision for sustainability set out by GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf. Both England Golf and the R&A are generally aligned with this foundation, which we have found has a clear structured methodology, around key topics such as fosterning nature and conserving resources, to achieve and measure sustainability. Sustainability practices such as conserving resources are both good practice and offer expenditure savings to the club, as well as mirroring the environmental focus of society at large. Click here for more details on our application to become GEO certified this spring.

Click on the links below for examples of what we have achieved to date to foster nature. We have made progress on conserving resources on the course and at the clubhouse. More to follow..
