Lady Captain’s Charity Day gave the ladies an opportunity to join in a fun golf competition and raise some money for the Captains’ Charities - Kent Association for the Blind, Rainbow Trust Children's Charity and Samaritans Tunbridge Wells District.
Over 60 ladies took part in the Royal Rumble played in threes with a Jack, Queen or King placed on the flag on the green indicating how many scores counted on each hole.
The weather was fine for the 9am shotgun start and the ladies had an excellent lunch during which Amy from the KAB gave a brief talk about their work and picked the lucky winner of the Augusta Masters towel donated by Mary Brannan.
After lunch Gavin from the Samaritans Tunbridge Wells District said a few words about the organisation and pulled out the winning raffle tickets.
Men's Captain Richard Wilson conducted an auction and presented the prizes.
A total of £1,070 was raised for the Captains’ charities.
Thank you to everyone who supported the event and special thanks to all who donated raffle prizes, particularly Andrew Smedley in the Pro Shop, the Kentish Hare in Bidborough and Fuller’s Butchers.
